Will you ever write about rock again? What music do you listen to now?
No. Those days, and that music, are gone forever; unless I wrote about them, I will nevermore set critical pen to paper, and I’ve pretty much said all I have to say in Strange Days.
Nowadays I listen to Celtic music (Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Torth o Fara, Plethyn, Ar Log, like that) and Renaissance dance music, and other classical music; no modern rock stuff, very little 60’s except for special tapes I’ve made — and no Doors music whatsoever. Not that I don’t still love it; it’s that I still love Jim. And, more than 25 years later, it is still far too painful to hear his voice.
